[Resubmission due to length issues]

What was originally an idea for a silly little story by led to a journal discussion, which in turn led to the massive thing you see before you.

I did a lot of experimenting with this one. Different kinds of changes, different kinds of tones, and the biggest experiment, which was the constant shifting of attention - I hoped this would make things all the more chaotic and lengthen any enjoyment drawn from the story. I have high hopes of that.

I've edited this the best I can, but I am still cleaning and fixing this up, so let me know if anything is wrong or was screwed up during the submission process.

With that said, this has been a lot of work and a fun trip, so I'm dying to hear what you think. Let me know!
